Original hand-colored engravings of various shells from illustrations of the "Land and Fresh Water Conchology of Great Britain and Ireland," drawn and colored by Captain Thomas Brown and published in London in 1845. These finely detailed engravings describe some of the most beautiful indigenous shells of Great Britain & Ireland, richly colored and true to life.
