Set of two antique prints titled 'Englisches Jagdpferd' and 'Englischer Wettrenner'. Original old lithographs of English horses. These prints originate from 'Naturgeschichte und Abbildungen der Säugethiere: nach den neuesten Systemen zum gemeinnutzigen Gebrauche entworfen, und mit Berücksichtigung für den Unterricht der Jugend bearbeitet' by H.R. Schinz. Published by Brodtmann, 1827.

Heinrich Rudolf Schinz (30 March 1777 – 8 March 1861) was a Swiss physician and naturalist. He was also curator at the natural history society of Zurich, and was the author of many important zoological works.

Condition: Good. General age-related toning. Few very tiny holes (nearly invisible). Pieces of tape on top margin. Blank verso. Please study images carefully.
