Antique print titled ‘Histoire Sainte, Nouveau Testament, Jésus portant sa Croix, console les filles de Jérusalem.’ This plate shows a scene from the New Testament; Jesus carrying the Cross, Jerusalem. This print originates from a rare set of plates showing scenes from the Old Testament and the New Testament. Mostly from the books of Genesis, Exodus, Judges, Samuel and Kings, but also from Job, Jonah, Tobias, Esther, Judith, Daniel and Ezechial. Published in Paris: Dezobry et E. Magdeleine (Lithographie Becquet freres) circa 1840.
