Antique print titled 'Ruinen van 't Paleis van Darius (..)'. Large panoramic view of the ruins of Darius’ Palace at Persepolis, Persia / Iran. Persepolis was sacked by the troops of Alexander the Great in 330 BC. Today, Persepolis remains one of the world's great archeological sites. This view appeared in Valentijn’s “Oud en Nieuw Oost Indien.”
