Antique print titled 'De Engelsche en Hoogd. Kerk'. View of the English and German Church situated in Noordeinde in The Hague. This former chapel of the Sacrament Hospital (R.K. Sacramentshospitaal) was used by the Anglican Church from 1586 to 1840 and by the High German from 1627 to 1818. In the foreground, men and women walking out of the church, conversing. This print was used in: Jacob de Riemer’s: “Beschryving van ‘s-Graven-Hage…” Delft and Den Haag, 1730-1739. Titled above, on a ribbon: ‘ DE ENGELSCHE en HOOGD: KERK.’ Signed at bottom: ‘G.v. Giessen del. / J.C. Philips fec. direx. R. Boitet Excud. Cum Privil’.

Condition: Fair. Strong toning, some wear and foxing. Blank verso. Please study image carefully.
