Antique print titled 'Samboupo'. Attractive detailed view of Samboupo (Makassar) on the island of Celebes (Sulawesi) Indonesia. This copper engraved print is a so called bird’s-eye perspective with great detail including the fort and hundreds of individual houses, several ships and local craft fill the harbour and rivers. Engraved by J. van Schley, published circa 1750.

Condition: Good. General age-related toning. Minor wear and soiling, blank verso. Please study image carefully.
