Antique print titled 'Een Bouginees - een Amboinees'. This plate shows a Buginese- and Ambonese Man. The Buginese people are an ethnic group - the most numerous of the three major linguistic and ethnic groups of South Sulawesi, in the southwestern province of Sulawesi, third largest island of Indonesia. The Ambonese, also known as South Moluccans, are an Indonesian ethnic group of mixed Austronesian-Papuan origin. This print originates from 'Oud en Nieuw Oost-Indiën' by F. Valentijn.
