Antique Map of the Western United States, Mexico and Texas as a Republic

Antique map titled 'Mexique'. This map covers the western United States, Mexico and the independent Republic of Texas. Mexico controls all of the Southwest and the United States extends well into present-day British Columbia in the Northwest. A distinctive spine of mountains runs the full length of the map and the rivers systems are still very confused. Originates from 'Dictionnaire Universel de Geographie (.)'. Published by Binet, circa 1842.

Condition: Good. General age-related toning, minor wear and soiling. Few very tiny defects/weak spots. Blank verso. Please study image carefully.
