Antique print titled '1. La Murène Marmorée (Murenophis Marmoreus). 2. Le Cestracion Panthérin (Cestracion Pantherinus). Marbled eel is a common name for several fishes. Moray eels, or Muraenidae, are a cosmopolitan family of eels. The approximately 200 species in 15 genera are almost exclusively marine, but several species are regularly seen in brackish water, and a very few are found in fresh water. The Galapagos bullhead shark, Heterodontus quoyi, is a bullhead shark of the family Heterodontidae found in the tropical eastern Pacific Ocean. This print originates from 'Voyage autour du monde sur la frégate La Venus (..)' by Gide, Paris, 1846.
