Antique print titled 'Le Lodde Capelan (Mallotus villosus) - L'Eperlan (Eperlanus vulgaris).' This rare plate shows the capelin or caplin (Mallotus villosus) and the smelt or European smelt (Osmerus eperlanus). Originates from 'Voyage en Islande et au Groenland' by M. Paul Gaimard, published in Paris 1842.

Condition: Good. General age-related toning. Minor wear and soiling. Please study image carefully.
